Andrew is a painter working in Seattle, WA. Growing up in Springs, NY, his work is influenced by abstract expressionism, pop art, Dada, and color field, among others. Acrylic paint on canvas is his preferred medium. Andrew's art persists in conversation with the subconscious and conscious mind, and allows for acceptance of the internal and external, of success and of error.  

Signing his work "same" is an invite for the viewer to ask questions. Same represents two parallel realities.

First, same is a universal search for identity and individualism in a society that seeks to suppress such intent.

Second, same is a striving for community, of a like-minded society where conformity is rewarded.
